Frequently asked questions: Welcome

Got a question?

  • Are you open all year round? - No. We are open for 38 weeks a year, Please check our term dates for details.

  • Does my child have to be toilet trained to attend? -We hope parents will be heading towards toilet training their child  before starting but we are happy to help you on this journey. Try looking at www.eric.org.uk    for additional information or contact your Health Visitor

  • Do i need to pay for any extras?- If you are taking up an after school club place or a lunch club space there are some fees to pay but most children will receive a funded space (subject to terms and conditions)

  • What will my child eat?- we have a snack time set up every morning and most afternoons. We offer water all the time and milk at snack times too. Our snacks are normally a piece of fruit, toast or cheese and crackers depending on the day but we do change this frequently to give children more learning opportunities . If your child is staying for lunch you will need to provide this and more information will be in your welcome pack.

  • Do we need to book a Toast club space (after school club) ?- If you need to make sure you have a space you will need to book a space, however we do sometimes have spare capacity. Please ring us to enquire.

  • Is the Administrator available? I have another question. -  The office administrator works Mondays Afternoons from12 -5.30, and Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays from 8.30-11.30 however the Manager may be able to answer your query. Please do ring and we will try to help.

  • Why do i have to pay an Admin fee to get on the waiting list?                 We are a not for profit charity. We keep our fees very low, in fact for many of our families pre-school is completely free. However our funding rate is not enough to support the business and most of our Admin time is spent processing your paperwork before your children start with us. We therefore introduced an admin fee to ensure we were spending our resources on parents who really want their child to come to us and are genuinely interested in using our services. The admin fee is therefore non-refundable
